By Thursday the 26th January we are expecting the Haveli to be swamped by Indian flags. We are also hoping to play a short documentary (on the hour) to promote this patriotic day. Maha Navratri Festival was a HIT!

Nani and Gargi are known in the Indian Community of Australia as staging spectacular events but none more extravaganza or touching as the Maha Navratri Festival held at Rose Hill racecourse on the evening of Friday the 30th September 2011. Nothing was left to your imagination and no expenses were spared. It was a mammoth effort by a small team of true believers and friends who helped Nani and Gargi make it all possible.

Maharaja’s Haveli stood alone pleasing appetites, satisfying taste buds and delivering the unique style of appetisers, food and beverages that the Maharaja’s brand is known for.

It was a religious and worshipping occasion with Pandit ji’s performing rituals all evening. It was a traditional and cultural showcase where everyone truly belonged. It was a time to rejoice, a time to reminisce and a time to feel tremendously proud of our background and heritage. Nani and Gargi you have UNITED all Australian Indian’s.

Sydney sider’s are already craving for a bigger Maha Navratri festival in 2012.
