Where we have come from and How we got here
Even though Emperors have long gone, they have left behind a legacy, a way of life that Maharaja’s Haveli embodies. Following the original customs of “The Punjab” in Northern India, Maharaja’s Haveli has been designed and decorated in such a manner that every person walking in feels the true essence of ‘Punjab’.
Our experience in the food industry dates back 20 years when we firstestablished our Maharaja’s brand. Our original fine dining restaurant Maharaja’s Palace was opened in one of Sydney’s most sought after locations, Kirribilli, close to the Prime Minister’s house. Nestled right beneath the SydneyHarbourBridge it was a popular dining spot for high-end clients, made up of politicians, celebrities and sporting stars. We made our mark on Sydney’s Northern Districts from Dee Why, St. Leonards, Rhodes to our breathtaking fine dining restaurant Maharaja’s Lakeside at Norwest Business Park. There was more to offer to Sydney than a fine dining restaurant. A whole new Rustic experience from the roots of Punjab, in Northern India, was on the horizon leading to “Maharaja’s Haveli” opening in September 2008.
All our equipment has been designed and manufactured in India and then been shipped here. Each sculpture has been exquisitely crafted and shipped from India to give an unmatched village experience. This is to retain the true essence of the villages of Northern India where food is not a mere means of survival but an experience. Every meal is an occasion where food laced with spices made from recipes dating back centuries is prepared over slow cooking fires.
"Khatirdari" the Indian term for a fabulous reception of all our customers, is what we pride ourselves in.
Still going strong after 20 years
